First Steps

This past weekend (March 13th and 14th), our little girl took her first independent steps! On Saturday morning Maddie and I were playing in her bedroom and she had pulled herself up to standing next to her dresser. I was sitting on the floor beside her and as she looked over her shoulder to me, I reached out my arms to see if she would walk to me (just about one step away). She turned herself around while holding onto the dresser and then took one step! She faltered a bit after she had her foot down, but she had definitely let go of everything and took a step! She did it a few more times over the weekend and made sure to show daddy her new skills too! Her little hybrid crawl is still her favorite means of transportation, but I don't think that will be the case for long!

I can't believe that our little sweetheart is going to turn one this weekend. This year has just flown by and been so amazing. We are so blessed by Maddie and have so much fun with her every day. She has the sweetest laugh and such a great personality! I couldn't love our munchkin more!
