We Are Rolling!

Maddie is rolling! Well, only three times so far...and all on one day...but she was rolling like crazy! This past Friday (June 19th), Maddie rolled over three times from her back to her tummy! After work, I put her down on her activity mat and she rolled onto her tummy there. Later that night, we put her down in her crib. When David went in to check on her, she had rolled over and was sleeping contently on her stomach! It of course freaked me out because she's supposed to be on her back to help prevent SIDS, but she was happy as could be! We flipped her over though and right when David went back in to check on her again, he saw her rolling onto her belly! She hasn't done anything since, but it's exciting to see her developing and starting to learn new things!

I just found this new background too...isn't it sweet?! Just like our little Maddie - sweet as a cupcake!

Love you all!

All Smiles!

I am so sorry for being delinquent in my posts! Things have been busy, but wonderful! Maddie is just wonderful and fast approaching her three month birthday this Saturday! Her one year birthday is going to be here before we know it!

Maddie is doing awesome and is smiling a lot! She loves our playtime together on the changing table and in the crib and is just full of these great smiles! Of course, once the camera comes out to capture one of them her smile turns into a scowl! When Dawn was here visiting though she was able to catch a few of her smiles and they are so darn cute!

Her hands have also found her mouth and she loves sticking her fingers in there and sometimes her entire fist! You'd think her hand was covered in chocolate by the way she sucks on it - she just can't get enough! It's really cute - and a little slobbery!

Ok...some more photos! Here's a great one of her and Dawn - Maddie's expression just cracks me up! Contrary to what it looks like in the photo, Maddie loved spending time with her Auntie and gave her lots of smiles too!

While Dawn was here, we took some family photos too!

This past Friday I took Maddie in for her 12 week check-up and the pediatrician said she's perfect! We of course already knew that, but it was great to hear it being confirmed! :) As of Friday, she weighed 11 lbs, 2.4 ounces and was 22.5" long. Both of those put her in the 25th percentile which the doctor was happy about. Her head circumference was in the 50th percentile, so she's bound to be a smart cookie!

Monday marked my first day back at work and Maddie's first full day at daycare. We both did really well I think! We had arranged to do a few "transition" days with Maddie last week, leaving her with daycare so she got used to the people and surroundings, so she wasn't shocked on Monday when she had to be there for 10 hours. Well, I found out that I needed those transition days more than Maddie did! It was so hard to leave her that first day - I prolonged my goodbyes and had the toughest time leaving her. Dawn and I were both bawling when we left, but I am so glad that Dawn was with me to keep my mind occupied while we were away. Maddie did wonderfully though and charmed her caretaker with her smiles and chitter chatter! I really like the woman who is taking care of her (Grace) - she is very sweet and kind and you can tell that she loves children. She's continuing to do well there - not sleeping much during the day - but she's happy and enjoying herself!

Lots of love to everyone!
